As an artist, I discover that art serves as my conduit to celebrate the essence of light. It grants me the freedom to experiment, engage in play, and ponder over the intricate lessons and intricacies of light. Through art, I am empowered to realize my loftiest aspirations. By collaborating with raw elements sourced from the natural world—earth, rock, wood, metal, and glass—I bear witness to how light, in its dance of color, contour, and structure, assumes its own distinct personas.

With a B.A. in Politics, I am drawn to understanding societal structures and advocating for positive change. However, it is through my experiences in the art and education sectors where I truly found my voice and influence. As a Teaching Artist with the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), I worked with third-grade classrooms in the San Francisco Bay Area, empowering students to express themselves through art activities and presenting their work to wider audiences. I later delved into art criticism, authoring an essay on contemporary Black aesthetics. Most recently, I curated the online exhibition "Afterimages Remix: The Black Power Room," challenging dominant narratives and amplifying marginalized voices in the art world.

Through my diverse experiences, I aim to foster dialogue, inspire change, and promote social consciousness and diversity in the artistic space. An interdisciplinary artist, I have dedicated the last seven years to creating hand-made resin Modernist sculptures, using art as a medium to explore and honor the Earth while highlighting the profound connection between humans and the environment. This artistic practice not only reflects my personal values but also aligns with my political beliefs, advocating for an Earth-centered liberation in an interconnected world.

Drawing upon my background in politics and my experiences in the art and education sectors, I have forged a rewarding writing career that spans various genres. Through my essays, I critically analyze contemporary issues and challenge established norms, while my poetry serves as a medium to express emotions and explore the human experience. In crafting fiction, I draw from my interdisciplinary perspective to create unique narratives that bridge the gap between art and societal dynamics. Additionally, my opinion pieces utilize my political expertise to shed light on pressing social and environmental matters, fostering meaningful discussions and inspiring positive change.
